iPhone photography is the same as any other photography. You’re just using a camera with less capabilities. That doesn’t mean you can’t shoot scroll – stopping photos. Here’s a few tips!

Lightroom
Shooting in Raw Format allows for the best editing. Lightroom is the greatest tool for a photographer. It makes the photo look so much better. Learn the different techniques of editing a photo. And your photography will hit a different level.
Lightroom helped these images pop for the viewers eyes. I used Lightroom to make the colors of the building pop like the red building in the Puerto Rican photo.

Light
Light gives drama to a photo. The two best lights sunrise light and sunset light, give depth and beauty to a photo. When taking photos try to schedule your time later in the day or early in the morning. You can take great pictures in the middle of the day. But aim for those two times. There is nothing like morning sunshine.
The first photo is a perfect example of good light. The sun setting makes for a beautiful scene.

Scout out a Location
This tip is for any type of photographer. An iPhone user or a pro camera user. Whether you’re shooting a mountain in Bali or a wedding. Always research the place online or even better go during midday and find the best spots. Look for angles that would create a good frame. Maybe a spot that would create a good shadow. Or a cool tree to come back to. For any good photo you must have knowledge of the place beforehand.
The photo above I visited the location a few days before the photo. Leveling up the photo.

Composition
There is lots of information about composition. But it’s basically how your photo is put together. Where certain objects are in the image. Leading to a more pleasing photo to the human eye. I’ll write a post later down the line about composition. One of the best things you can do is watch YouTube videos.

Lots of Angles
I’ve taken many photos and got back to my house wishing I would’ve stayed a little bit longer. There was that one plant I could’ve used as a foreground or a better angle of the ocean. Always stay a little longer than you think you should and try out a few more angles. You’ll thank yourself later.

Keep Camera Steady!
This tip is more targeted towards phone users. It’s not easy to keep an iPhone completely still. The smallest movement can make your photo look blurry and ruin the vibe. I understand how annoying it is to look at your image you worked hard on. And seeing that it’s blurry. A few tips are to rest the phone on a firm surface as you take the photo. Like a wall. Or if that’s not possible, use your elbows placed on your knees.
For those willing to spend money on camera steadiness. There are great gimble and tripods available on amazon.

Habits to Build Better Sleep
Going through the day without getting any sleep the night before is a surreal experience. Especially after an all - nighter. It's kind of a fun feeling. But if you want to have any bit of productivity and success in your life. Sleep is a necessity. It can be hard to...
