Days Going by Quickly and Blending Together?
No Motivation?
The past few days have felt the same. Barely enough motivation to get myself out of bed drains me. I can’t get out of this slump. Falling back into bad habits. And with school starting back up in one day. Life has a bleak outlook. Creating a blog post took a lot of effort.
So here’s some steps to help myself and anybody who needs it to get out of a rut!
Zoom Out
Take a break and look at your life. Yourself. Your normal day. Is there something different from before? Look back at a time you felt amazing. What did you do differently then? For me it was being with the ocean. But that’s not an option for me. The next best thing is filling up my days. When I just sit at home I lose energy and motivation. Sitting around makes me just as tired as doing something hard. But without the good feeling afterwards. I need to get out more. And whether I want to admit it, school is the perfect answer to that. Maybe for you it’s something else. Like going to the gym or getting more sleep.

Habits to Build Better Sleep
Going through the day without getting any sleep the night before is a surreal experience. Especially after an all - nighter. It's kind of a fun feeling. But if you want to have any bit of productivity and success in your life. Sleep is a necessity. It can be hard to...
Here’s a little guide on sleep.
Add in Something New
The days can feel like one big blend. We only have 4000 weeks of life. And those can go damn quick. So when they mush togethers it’s a big problem. A great antidote is to try something new. Join a class or try a new hobby. Give a little change to your normal life. I’m trying to volunteer at Ten Thousand Villages. Maybe I’ll take a new class or a hobby to pick up.
Throwing something new into the mix can stop the unending madness.

Talk to Someone
It can be good to talk to a family member or therapist. Maybe your little brother or mom. Letting it all out can feel amazing. And someone can give you great advice or help you form a plan. I want to get a life coach. Get a little more direction in life and formulate a plan. Maybe you just need to talk to a trusted friend.
Just don’t keep it all bottled up.

Change the Scenery
Get outside. Take a walk. Do some work in a coffee shop. I’m sitting outside on the deck while writing this. Something so small it seems like a waste of time can make a world of a difference. Maybe a more drastic change will do it for you. Moving to a new place. Or changing jobs. Jumping into something new that scares you might just give you more life.
Get out of your comfort zone. Go somewhere else.
Small Goals
When you can’t seem to find any motivation for the daunting task ahead of you. And you don’t know where to start. It can be saddening. Take your goal and break it into smaller easier steps. I want to travel the world when I graduate from highschool. But for that I need money. So I came up with the idea of making a blog. But making a blog is not easy. So I broke it down into starting it, keeping it up, and earning from it. I break each of those into smaller steps. I’m still stuck on the second part. But one day I’ll make it to the third. Maybe you want to read more or get better at volleyball.
Break it down until it all looks easy.

Gratitude
Maybe the most important of them all. Gratitude can completely flip your life around. I’ve been feeling pretty grumpy the last few days and need to add some more of this into my life. Making a list of 5 to 10 things you’re happy with in the morning can completely change your day. It did for me. Or making a list of the great things that happened during the day before bed.
Practicing a little gratitude might just change your life.

Conclusion
Maybe some of these things aren’t for you. But I challenge you and myself to try and apply a few into our lives. Changing a lot of the little things can take life take a completely different course. Just try it!
